Money is made through any of the modes which the fellow mankind finds useful. This may be something as basic as lending money, offering services, providing necessities and spares, offering services like repair and maintenance or organizing activities which are necessary for the smooth functioning of society.

Only if one is having money, he will be able to be heard. He is only a slave till he has made his first dollar. Once that milestone is reached, the pothers seem almost frivolous. To make this initial amount one would beg, borrow or steal to paraphrase a very old saying.

The methods

a)     Make money being an intermediatary

People need things like the newspaper, the grocery and the gas. These are sold in the whole sale merchant’s area, and the enterprising agent will put in his effort to bring home the bacon. It may sound as if the cliché is out of place, but believe me it isn’t. The person who can give me the paper will get an extra penny or two and that too with my blessings. There are many people who are ready to cash in on the opportunity. Only thing is that these are locally defined. Only the locality which needs these services will have the opportunity.

b)     Make money being one who is ‘the man’

There are many things like milk and plumbing which is a hands-on experience and needs ‘the man’ to do the job. This sector is cool for those who like to get their hands dirty because the pay is also good.

c)     Make money being of service

There are many things like the TV channel and the telephone which will not work unless ‘something’ is done by ‘somebody’

d)     Make money being a pioneer

Now one may make money by doing something unique, like making pickles! The person who brought the car wash to the locality will probably be worshipped and statues will be made of the person who delivers the grocery!

One of the outstanding facets of civilization is the resilience of man in the face of crises. Another aspect of his personality often pops up somewhere close by. This is the way he makes money. Money is a device using which we exchange favors in a profitable manner.  Having enough money means having enough ways to call favors.

So, how do we make money? It is simple if you think of money as the one thing which is useful both for you and for me. The neighbor can use money and the person across the town can also use money. Where we draw the line is always dependant on:

• The amount involved
• The exchange rates
• The locality where the transaction is underway

The aim of the man who is searching progress has been the abundance of wealth.  And to these ends he devised the market or stock trading zone where money may be made, if one is keeping his ears to the ground.
